Kulon Progo Regency received second-best in the category of the Innovative Regency Government at the 2019 Innovative Government Award. The award was handed over directly by the Minister of the Interior Tjahjo Kumolo to the Deputy Regent of Kulon Progo, Drs.H. Sutedjo witnessed by other regional heads on that special occasion on Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Borobudur Hotel, Central Jakarta.
The Minister of Home Affairs congratulated each of the regional heads who have received the award. With regards to the award recipient, it is still considered the same at the provincial level. However, several new regions at the Regencies/Cities level have received the awards.
” So, I am hoping that from 534 Regencies/Cities will appear more innovations, ” said the Minister of Home Affairs.
Tjahjo Kumolo conveyed, the vision of innovation in the future must be able to accelerate, shorten, facilitate services to the public. And so that in the years to come there will always be innovations in each region to get an achievement in the Innovative Government Award. Deputy Regent of Kulon Progo, Drs.H.Sutedjo expressed his gratitude, Kulon Progo Regency received the 2019 Innovative Government Award amongst various regions in Indonesia.
” Thank God, from many Regencies/Cities, Kulon Progo Regency was able to qualified. After going through a long process, the regency was amongst the top 10, and finally, we have received second best after Banyuwangi Regency. Of course, we are grateful. We are motivated to implement more innovations with this award. We hope that all OPDs and institutions have their innovations in the future. ” said Deputy Regent of Kulon Progo.
For the Innovative Regency Category, Banyuwangi received first-best followed by Kulon Progo Regency, third-best was received by Malang Regency, Situbondo Regency, Banggai Regency, Agam Regency, Musi Rawas Regency, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency, Bogor Regency, Padang Pariaman Regency.
